HOW TO MAKE STICKY CHINESE BBQ PORK RIBS

  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and cut into individual rib pieces.
  2. Whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, five-spice powder, and white pepper.
  3. Coat ribs thoroughly in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best flavor.
  4. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking tray with foil and place ribs on a rack.
  5. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 1 hour, turning once.
  6. Uncover, increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C), and brush ribs generously with remaining glaze.
  7. Bake for 15–20 minutes, flipping and basting until sticky and caramelized.
