Crispy Chinese Potstickers (Guotie)

These homemade Chinese potstickers feature a juicy pork filling and perfectly crispy bottoms. Easy to prepare, freezer-friendly, and packed with authentic flavor.

Ingredients

  • 40 round dumpling wrappers
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 cups finely chopped napa cabbage
  • 3 green onions minced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • 1/3 cup water

Instructions

  • Salt cabbage lightly, rest 10 minutes, then squeeze dry.
  • Mix pork, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and white pepper.
  • Fill each wrapper with about 1 tablespoon filling.
  • Seal dumplings with pleats.
  • Heat oil in skillet over medium heat.
  • Pan-fry dumplings until bottoms are golden.
  • Add water, cover, and steam 6–8 minutes.
  • Remove lid and cook until liquid evaporates.
  • Serve immediately.
