Ingredients
1lbribeye or sirlointhinly sliced
1/4cupsoy sauceuse gluten-free if needed
2tbspbrown sugar
1tbspsesame oil
1tbspgrated Korean pear or Asian pear
1tbspminced garlic
1tspgrated ginger
1/4tspblack pepper
1/2medium onionthinly sliced
2scallionschopped
1tbspneutral oil for cooking
Optional: 1/4 cup julienned carrots or sliced mushrooms
Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
Slice partially frozen beef thinly across the grain.
In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, grated pear, garlic, ginger, and pepper.
Add beef and mix thoroughly with your hands or tongs to coat. Add onions and scallions.
Marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best flavor).
Heat a skillet or grill pan over high heat and add oil.
Cook the beef in batches, without crowding the pan, 2β3 minutes per side or until browned.
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve immediately.
