About
Welcome to Wok With Sam! I’m Sam — an enthusiastic home cook with a deep love for Asian food and a strong appreciation for the family recipes that shaped my upbringing. I’m also the proud kid of some amazing cooks!
This is my little corner of the internet where I share the flavors that have been passed down through generations in my family. I was fortunate to grow up surrounded by incredible women who could turn simple ingredients into something truly special and delicious!
My grandma was the heart of it all. Raised in China, she was the kind of cook who didn’t need recipes. She cooked with instinct, love, and decades of experience. From traditional classics to her own unique specialties, her food brought our family together around the table time and time again.
Her daughters — my mom and aunties — inherited that same passion and skill. I grew up learning from all of them, one recipe and kitchen story at a time. For us, food isn’t just about what’s on the table; it’s about tradition, love, and connection.
This blog is my way of preserving our family’s beloved recipes and sharing them with anyone who wants to bring a little more flavor into their own kitchen. Whether you’re cooking something new or rediscovering a childhood dish, I’m so glad you’re here.
Let’s cook something yummy together!
